Her professional interests include community health, maternal-child health, evidence-base medicine, and quality improvement. She has a master of public health from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public and concentrated her studies there on the social and behavioral effects on health. She has a particular interest in health promotion and the development of health habits for children, health literacy and health communication. She is an active participant in the FMEC IMPLICIT collaborative to reduce low birth weight and preterm deliveries. Dr. Cardona directs our Middletown office practice, coordinates medical student rotations, and leads our quality improvement and population health efforts in partnership with Dr. Kramer.

What I like best about working at Middlesex...

It is the people. Everyone is totally committed to both high quality education and patient care.

My favorite thing to do with residents is...

I love precepting residents in the office and helping them problem solve patient concerns.

What I do for fun...

I love spending time with my husband and two children in the outdoors. Sprint triathalons are a particular passion.
