Why did I choose Middlesex?

When interviewing with Middlesex, I immediately felt like this program was the perfect fit for me! I was looking for an academic education with a community feel. I also chose Middlesex because of the unique four-year curriculum which will give me an extra year to become the most confident and competent physician I can be, in addition to working towards a lifestyle medicine certification. Also, I went to Wesleyan University for undergrad and it felt like a homecoming moving back just down the hill!

About my track and future goals…

I want to improve the overall health outcomes of my patients by using evidence-based medicine to empower patient autonomy to integrate lifelong behavioral changes. As a former athlete myself, I also hope to integrate Sports Medicine into my career and give back to the athletic community that raised me.

When I’m not on call I’m…

Playing ice hockey, road biking around Connecticut (basically anything outside), catching up with friends and trying new recipes.

A fun fact or two about me…

I was born in Quebec, Canada and French is my first language. However, my family moved to Arizona when I was 5. Before starting residency, I biked over 500 miles across Portugal with a friend… for fun! Also, I was in an NHL commercial for the “Hockey is for Everyone” campaign to promote girl’s playing ice hockey!
