Kubica, Laura, D.O.

During her residency, Dr. Kubica practiced in our East Hampton office, where she had one of the busiest resident panels with an emphasis on behavioral health. Her Track of Excellence was Academics and Leadership, through which she completed a Masters in Medical Education at Lake Erie College of Medicine. She was involved in a number of scholarly projects during residency, including the implementation of a standardized resident signout tool, development of a residency assertiveness curriculum, and resident-driven quality improvement teams that resulted in three national presentations. She served as Chief Resident during her final year of training. After graduation she began her academic career at the Penn State Hershey College of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and core residency faculty member. After three years, she returned to Connecticut as a full-time faculty member at the Manchester Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program, and recently joined the faculty at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, where she directs the 3rd year Clerkship in Family Medicine.
