Dr. Knauf came to our program with twin passions: a life-long desire to care for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities and a deep interest in integrative approaches to holistic patient care. During his residency at Middlesex he was able to pursue both. He spent extensive time at Adelbrook, a community based organization for developmentally disabled youth for which our practice serves as medical director. He also participated in our Integrative Medicine Track, including completing the prestigious University of Arizona Integrative Medicine Fellowship. After graduation he relocated to Kimberton, Pennsylvania, where he became the Medical Director of the Camphill Special School. He provides comprehensive primary care and behavioral treatment to both the community and children with special needs. This work is done at the intersection of evidence-based conventional and integrative medicine, including lifestyle interventions and natural remedies.
