Katz, Robert, M.D.

Dr. Katz served for eight years as an infantry and combat photography Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. He then founded his own international charity, "One Small House," which constructs homes for low income families in Mexico and Haiti. During residency he continued his international work, including constructing his 100th home with the assistance of fellow residents. The main focus of his Track of Excellence was advanced maternity care. He completed several high-volume obstetrical rotations and developed advanced surgical skills under the guidance of our obstetrical faculty. He delivered 220 babies during residency. After graduation he and his wife relocated to Columbus, Texas, where he and three partners provide comprehensive care to 4,000 residents, including performing over 200 deliveries per year. Dr. Katz practices full spectrum family medicine: outpatient care, hospital care, and obstetrics, including serving as primary surgeon for Caserean births.
