Why did I choose Middlesex?
Wow, there are so many reasons: being close to family, the opportunity to get rural (the East Hampton office) and urban (Middletown) clinical experience, the program’s commitment to teaching and the freedom given to residents to explore professional interests. Most importantly, Middlesex felt like a community hospital that was actually a part of the community. You can’t beat that.
About my track and future goals…
Being the kind of Family Medicine doc that can do anything for anybody. It’s all about serving the community and forming long-term, positive relationships with patients. While I’m still undecided, I do have my eye on the Geriatrics and Palliative Care Track. Both are incredibly important aspects of medicine and are integral to providing complete family medicine care.
When I’m not on call I’m…
Finding projects to do around the house, hiking, kayaking, watching movies and spending as much time as possible with my wife and son.
A fun fact or two about me…
I once stayed at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino for two months straight. Let’s just say I ate a lot of room service and don’t need to go back to Las Vegas anytime soon!
