A native of rural upstate New York, Dr. Hanchek participated in a personalized track focusing on broad scope skill development. She also developed a passion for advocacy at the local, regional and national level. Her contributions were recognized with the AFMRD Resident Advocacy award. She served as Chief Resident during her final year, while also continuing to pursue her passion for world travel. After graduation she entered practice in Massachusetts, where she provides comprehensive care to a rural community.
